“…After reaching the boiling point of water, the water evaporates and it condenses on the solar still condenser cover. The various techniques employed in solar still, to raise the temperature of water and hence increases the productivity was studied from the detailed literatures reviews of Ravishankar et al [11], Kabeel et al [12] and Manokar et al [13][14][15]. From the detailed literature studies it is clear that water temperature can be improved by either feeding waste warm water or pre heat the water by incorporating the different solar collectors or concentrators.…”

“…Vaporization of water in porous media follows two stages. In the first stage, water flows from the bulk into the pores through capillary actions, and in the second stage, water evaporates and the air-water interface recedes on the pore surface . The air-water interface is vital for water evaporation .…”

“…In the first stage, water flows from the bulk into the pores through capillary actions, and in the second stage, water evaporates and the air-water interface recedes on the pore surface. 59 The air-water interface is vital for water evaporation. 60 The vapor phase above the receding air-water interface quickly saturates, resulting in a concentration gradient of water vapor toward the bulk air.…”

“…This happened due to the low solar radiation in rainy season and obstruct building effected the e ciency of glazing cover collector. Wind ow causes a greater heat transfer from the glazing cover to the environment, thereby lowers the temperature of the glazing cover and increases the temperature difference between the feeder tank and the at plate collector, which speeds up the condensation process and distillation rate (Manokar et al, 2018). It can be concluded that water temperature and heat absorption increase when the e ciency of the at plate collector increases.…”

“…The FPC is more effective when the water ow rate or velocity at which the water moves through the tube is higher. In addition, it was discovered that the warmest water feasibly led to higher productivity (Manokar et al, 2018). The e ciency for both collector copper and polypropylene will increases gradually with time until reach the maximum e ciency.…”
