“…SPE, liquid–liquid extraction and various space‐time distributions of BGE components leading to pH‐mediated stacking, field‐amplified stacking, and transient ITP (tITP) are the most frequently used. All are clearly summarized in several reviews . An interesting idea is the implementation of a fritless SPE microcartridge.…”

“…It is necessary to mention also the problem with sensitivity in protein/peptide analysis by CE-MS. The most frequently used methods for improved sensitivity are various online or offline concentration techniques such as SPE, liquid-liquid extraction, pH-mediated stacking, field-amplified stacking, and transient ITP (tITP) (for reviews see [42][43][44][45][46][47][48]). Really popular is using dynamic pH junction methods for stacking large volume injections of proteins [46].…”

“…The majority of the articles were from journals focusing on novel and improved analytical methods. For these articles, a noticeable amount targeted trace analysis facilitated by derivatisation and in some cases combined with sample stacking . A fewer number dealt with derivatisation to gain deeper insight into the composition of food stuff and biomarker determination in clinical samples.…”
