Diethylcarbamazine: A Leukotriene Inhibitor

Abstract: Sepsis is associated with alterations in microcirculatory flow which is demonstrated by impaired (O2 delivery and extraction by the peripheral tissues. Leukotrienes, derivatives of arachidonic acid, have been implicated as mediators of the septic process.
