“…OP insecticides are known to induce various histopathological changes in the liver tissues 48 and indeed we found by light microscopic analyses that malathion-induced hyperplasia of epithelial lining bile duct and fibroplasia in portal triad and Kupffer cell activation and focal hepatic necrosis associated with inflammatory cells infiltration and focal hepatic necrosis associated with inflammatory cells infiltration as well as apoptosis of hepatocytes in Liver sections of animals treated with ML when compared with control group. On the other hand Kidneys sections of animals treated with ML alone showed congestion of glomerular tuft, perivascular oedema associated with inflammatory cells infiltration in kidneys when compared with control group.…”

“…In histopathological examination, DMBA caused severe sinusoidal dilatation and severe vacuolation, inflammation around the portal area and central vein and disrupted the radial alignment around the central vein in hepatocytes. Silibinin significantly reversed the DMBA-induced sinusoidal dilatation, severe vacuolization and inflammation around the central vein in hepatocytes (P < 0.05) (Yehia et al, 2007 andAlp et al, 2011). The liver is a very crucial organ for the detoxification processes and oxidative stress is thought to be a key mechanism of hepatocellular injury.…”

“…Pesticides are the most effective means of pest eradication all over the world, but their use has reached an alarming rate due to a number of adverse effects on non-target organisms (1)(2)(3). For the last few decades, pyrethroid pesticides have strengthened their place in the pesticide market for several uses.…”
