“…Nevertheless, technical difficulties (transcervical dye leakage if using Cohen cannula [10]) or complications (uterine rupture after balloon inflation of the RUMI manipulator [6]) have infrequently been reported with almost all of these [11]. As an alternative to laparoscopic chromopertubation, which is considered "gold standard", less invasive or alternative procedures for checking the tubal patency, e. g. hysterosalpingocontrast sonography (HyCoSy) [12], hysteroscopy combined with HyCoSy [13] or selective tubal perturbation [14], as well as transcervical falloscopy combined with laparoscopy [15] can be offered.…”

“…Endoscopic techniques falloposcopic/ hysteroscopic/ laparoscopic tubal aqua dissection, guidewire cannulation with dilatation, and direct balloon tubuloplasty may be used to break down intraluminal adhesions or dilate a stenosed but relatively healthy tube. High patency and pregnancy rates have been reported [27,28].…”

“…A RCT proved that falloposcopy after laparoscopic adhesiolysis results in a significantly higher pregnancy rate within one year after the surgery [42]. Despite this, falloposcopy has not become popular and remains a fading technique in the armamentarium of the reproductive surgeon.…”
