Background This study aimed to investigate the utilization patterns and factors related to oral health care for 5-year-old preschoolers based on Andersen’s Behavioural Model in Guizhou Province, Western China. Method A cross-sectional study of 4,862 5-year-old preschoolers in 66 kindergartens was conducted in 2019 and 2020. A basic oral examination and a survey of parents and grandparents were conducted to gather data on oral health services. The results were analysed using chi-square tests and logistic regression analysis. Result The utilization rate of oral health services for children in Guizhou province was 20.5%. The dmft was 4.43, and the rate of caries was 72.2%. The average cost of a dental visit was higher in rural areas and higher for girls. Logistic regression analysis revealed that dmft ≥ 6 teeth, a history of toothache, starting toothbrushing at age ≤ 3 years and limited parental knowledge were the primary factors impacting dental visits. Conclusion Needs factors such as severe oral conditions and pain in children are the main reasons for the utilization of these services. This study underscores the urgency to actively promote the importance of oral health and expand insurance coverage for oral health services.

Background Oral health surveys largely facilitate the prevention and treatment of oral diseases as well as the awareness of population health status. As oral health is always surveyed from a variety of perspectives, it is a difficult and complicated task to gain insights from multidimensional oral health surveys. Objective We aimed to develop a visualization framework for the visual analytics and deep mining of multidimensional oral health surveys. Methods First, diseases and groups were embedded into data portraits based on their multidimensional attributes. Subsequently, group classification and correlation pattern extraction were conducted to explore the correlation features among diseases, behaviors, symptoms, and cognitions. On the basis of the feature mining of diseases, groups, behaviors, and their attributes, a knowledge graph was constructed to reveal semantic information, integrate the graph query function, and describe the features of intrigue to users. Results A visualization framework was implemented for the exploration of multidimensional oral health surveys. A series of user-friendly interactions were integrated to propose a visual analysis system that can help users further achieve the regulations of oral health conditions. Conclusions A visualization framework is provided in this paper with a set of meaningful user interactions integrated, enabling users to intuitively understand the oral health situation and conduct in-depth data exploration and analysis. Case studies based on real-world data sets demonstrate the effectiveness of our system in the exploration of oral diseases.

According to the actual use of large mobile truss platform, a structural health diagnosis system is designed in order to realize long-term health monitoring and safety evaluation of the platform. The system completes data acquisition and transmission based on sensing and communication technology. By optimizing the arrangement of strain sensors, displacement sensors and vibration sensors, various data information reflecting the structural conditions and main components are obtained , so as to realize the monitoring of structural response and behavior during the use of the platform. The system uses the collected data to analyze the safety status of the platform. On the one hand, it assists the operator to complete the safety state inspection of the platform, and on the other hand, it can assist the operator to discover the potential hidden dangers of the platform in time.
