Diagnosis and outcome of isolated rectal tuberculosis

Abstract: Our data suggest that tubercular involvement of rectum, although uncommon, is an important cause of rectal strictures in India. Response to antitubercular chemotherapy is uniformly good, and surgery is seldom required in these patients.
