In contrast, no gender differences were found in the My Child's Play Questionnaire [42], a parental questionnaire that examines play abilities among 3-9-year-old children, even within the subscale of executive functioning.…”

“…There seems to be a consensus that play is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon of major importance (Power, 2000). The Person, Environment and Occupation Model (Law et al, 1996) describes the dynamic relationship between people, their occupations and roles, and the environments in which they live, work and play, with occupational performance being the outcome of the transaction between these three elements (Schneider & Rosenblum, 2014). The transactional nature of play and the good fit between the person/player, the environment or context in which play occurs, and the characteristics of the play activity are of major importance in enabling optimal engagement in play experiences (Law et al 1996;Rigby & Rodger, 2006).…”

Test of Playfulness [114], Knox Preschool Play Scale [115], Play History [116][117][118] and Trans-disciplinary Play-based Assessment [119], My Child's Play [120,121] tests are among the common standardized tests used to plan occupational therapy interventions for the improvement of play skills [117]. Furthermore, occupational therapists frequently refer to Observations of Factors Influencing Playfulness Form [121,122] to plan their interventions.…”
