Development of solutions concerning regulation of proper deformations in alkali-activated cements

Abstract: Проаналiзовано сутнiсть проблеми власних деформацiй лужних цементiв (ЛЦ), ускладнення якої пов'язано з пiдвищеним вмiстом гелеподiбних гiдратних новоутворень. Як приклади розглянуто типи цементiв дiаметрально протилежнi за композицiйною будовою i вiдповiдно за вмiстом гелеподiбних фаз при гiдратацiї-лужний портландцемент (ЛПЦ) i шлаколужний цемент (ШЛЦ). Запропоновано пiдходи до формування ефективної структури штучного каменя, протидiючою деформацiям усадки, шляхом втручання в структуроутворення при використан… Show more

“…This can be explained by the fact that, first, the high content of alkaline metal compounds does not necessarily define the high pH values of a porous solution, as, for example, it is emphasized in work [39]. Second, sodium silicates are characterized by greater activation capacity relative to GBFS [41].…”

“…This phenomena is caused by salts of strong acids (further, SSA's), like chlorides and sulfates, dissolved in seawater [29,30]. At that, seawater ensures increasing of AASC concrete consistency [31] and concrete strength [32] that is explained by effect of SSA's [33,34].…”

“…AASC concretes along with high strength are characterized by increased drying shrinkage and fracturing [22,23,24] due to high content of gel during initial structure formation. The drying shrinkage causes heterogeneous structure of concrete during further structure formation and as a result the unstable characteristics of artificial stone [25].…”

“…Specified method was proposed for mitigation of steel reinforcement corrosion in high consistency AASC concretes, modified with SRA's based on salts-electrolytes, i.e. Na2SO4 and NaNO3 [24,49,50]. The effectiveness of these SRA's was explained by their co-acting in crystallization processes, alteration of porous structure as well as morphology of hydrated phases.…”
