Abstract: Asian planthoppers (Hemiptera: Delphacidae) that include brown planthoppers (BPH, Nilaparvata lugens, Stål), white-backed planthoppers (WBPH, Sogatella furcifera, Horváth), and small brown planthoppers (SBPH, Laodelphax striatellus, Fallén) are the primary sucking-type pests of rice.
