Abstract:The EFSA Panel on Plant Health performed a pest categorisation of Nilaparvata lugens (Hemiptera: Delphacidae), the brown planthopper, for the European Union. N. lugens is widespread in Asia where it is native; it also occurs in Oceania where it is naturalised.
