“…Indeed, many publications reported the characteristics of various electrode arrangements including point-to-plane 3 , point-to-grid 4 , point-to-ring 5 , wire-to-plate 6 , wire-to-incline wing 7 , where ion wind is generated from a thin wire/needle with high curvature, yielding high velocity of ion wind near the surface of the collector electrode. Many other developments of this method using needle-toparallel plates 8 , point-to-wire 9 , rod-to-plate 10 , point-to-parallel plate 8 , wire-to-cylinder 11 , wire-to-wire 12 , or point-to-cylinder 13 have been recently suggested. Furthermore, several geometrical improvements of electrodes have also been reported to optimise ion flows by using alternating negative/positive 14 , multi electrodes 15 .…”

“…Therefore, in the computational model, instead of the interfacial surface, on which vapor condensation occurs, there is an interfacial layer as thick as several cells. The practical basis of the VOF method application for the condensation processes simulation and the governing equations used are presented in detail, for example, in [13,22,[26][27][28][29].…”

“…The property parameters in the unsteady term, convective term, and diffusion term are ρc, ρc, and k , respectively. They could be weighted by algebraic scheme 17‐20 or harmonic scheme 19,20 A=αA1+(1α)A2, 1A=αA1+(1α)A2,where A represents ρc or k in Equation (11). The subscripts 1, 2 represent phase 1 and phase 2, respectively.…”

“…In VOF, there are mainly two kinds of weighting forms of property parameters, that is, the algebraic scheme and harmonic scheme. Those schemes have been common in VOF literature: Agarwal et al 17 and Shen et al 18 have used the algebraic scheme for all the property parameters in VOF to perform their research, Khodadadi et al 19 and Ma et al 20 have used harmonic scheme for specific heat and algebraic scheme for other property parameters in VOF to conduct the investigations. However, complete research on the weighting forms for all the property parameters is still not done.…”
