Development of an Integrated Bim-Gis Management Tool for Maintenance Plan of Historical Heritage

Abstract: The Main10ance project aims to implement a plan of maintenance and conservation of the historical cultural heritage. This is an INTERREG project. The V-A Cooperation Programme Italy-Switzerland 2014-2020 contributes to the objectives of the Europe 2020 Strategy and the New Swiss Regional Policy (NRP)addressing the needs common to both sides of the border and aiming to generate significant change in the area of cooperation, both in terms of increasing competitiveness and strengthening economic and social cohesi… Show more

“…Creating a Historic Building Information Modelling (HBIM) of the Serrano's Bridge evolution from point cloud data in Revit software involves several steps. Managing levels of detail (LODs) becomes crucial for representing as accurately as possible the historical development across five periods [19][20][21][22][23]. Next, an explanation of how LODs have managed in this study: the purpose: higher LODs for detailed visualisations and lower LODs for analysis.…”

“…The present work shows the web app and demonstrator integrating GIS (Geographic Information System/Science) and BIM (Building Information Modelling) data with restoration and maintenance information. It illustrates the work developments described in (Bonfanti et al, 2021;Colucci et al, 2022). The methodology focuses on the functionalities of the app showing its utility.…”

“…For CityGML, on the other hand (Noardo, 2018) and (Gkadolou et al 2020) developed ADEs to consider specific aspects related to building heritage management. In the field of cultural heritage, the need for multiscale approaches is particularly relevant, as is the case with "composite sites" or diffuse heritage (Bonfanti et al, 2021), where the studies require seamless focusing up and down from the geographical scale to the site scale, to the artefact scale. The connection, integration and extension of available spatial ontologies would allow the recognition of historical monuments, the identification of parts of buildings and cities, the extraction of different information, and so on.…”
