Abstract. A training program is conducted to address the need for fundamental skills in Engineering Drawing. The partner school for this program is SMK Muhammadiyah Tirtayasa, located in the Serang Regency. The training focuses on basic technical drawing techniques. A total of 14 participants, including students and teachers, take part in the training. The training began with an explanation of the theoretical foundations of technical drawing, followed by three practical exercises. The participants' progress was evaluated based on the quality of their technical drawings. The results indicated that the participants had a good overall understanding and ability to apply the fundamental principles of line drawing, object projections, and dimensioning. The average scores across the three exercises were relatively high. Furthermore, the analysis revealed that male participants achieved higher scores compared to their female counterparts. To enhance the professionalism of the participants, it is recommended to incorporate computer-aided drawing tools to enhance their knowledge and skills in applying technical drawing concepts. In conclusion, the training program successfully provides participants with essential skills in Engineering Drawing. The findings highlight the potential benefits of integrating computer-based applications to further enhance their proficiency in this field.

This paper is (I) a report about the development of modular E-Learning materials as OER for a MOOC and the changes regarding the creation surrounding Covid-19, as well as (II) an evaluation of the changes on the initial situation of higher education met in 2019 in contrast to the current situation for teachers and learners that is given through the availability of the developed modular MOOC. Advantages and limitations for the creation of E-Learning materials within a syndicate are discussed and a survey conducted at six German universities is evaluated in order to indicate the encountered changes precisely. Moreover, the framework including the modularity of the learning materials in combination with the principle of Constructive Alignment is described and analyzed. The empirical data regarding the students and teachers experience with the framework and learning materials collected through the survey are discussed elaborately. Last but not least, a conclusion on the consolidation and continuous use of the learning materials is drawn, which shows that transparent learning objectives help to raise the students' motivation.

For the successful development of technical products, welleducated and trained engineers are key. To acquire the required knowledge and competences, very large groups of first-year engineering students currently participate in basic design engineering courses. Most of these students have differing levels of knowledge and experience caused by their various secondary education backgrounds, vocational trainings or completed preengineering courses. Within this paper this heterogeneity and the resulting challenges for the students by attending courses with frontal lecture formats with additional self-study time during the transition from high school to college is analysed through studies at the Ruhr-University Germany for developing improved teaching activities in the future.
