“…In optimal situations, the method LODs regarding pure culture and genomic DNA have been 20 CFU/mL and 900 femtograms (fg), respectively. The LAMP-DLFD approach has not demonstrated any cross-reactivity with 18 other pathogenic bacteria including S. aureus, Salmonella spp., Campylobacter coli, E. coli, Enterococcus faecalis, Lactobacillus aci-dophilus, V. cholerae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, V. parahaemolyticus, C. jejuni, Shigella dysenteriae, B. cereus, S. flexneri, L. casei, and Pediococcus pentosaceus (Ledlod et al, 2020).…”

“…Labeled primers produce labeled amplification products, which are trapped by a biotin ligand and bound to an LF test strip. In recent studies, LAMP-LF has gained recognition in the detection of various microorganisms and substances (Liu et al 2019;Ledlod et al 2020;Allgöwer et al 2020;Jalandra et al 2020), but the use of this technology to accurately detect E. coli of serotype O157:H7 has not been reported to date. In this study, based on the z3276 genetic marker, we developed a z3276-LAMP-LF assay, combining the LAMP method with an LF test strip, which enabled faster and more specific identification of E. coli O157:H7 with a lower detection limit than previously established methods.…”

“…The test results can be obtained at least 3-5 days after the entire process has been completed. Molecular biological detection methods for pathogens have been widely studied and applied (2)(3)(4)(5)(6); however, these require professional expertise and expensive experimental equipment. This is not conducive to the rapid detection of Salmonella or the identification of infections when there is a shortage of personnel and equipment, or at primary medical institutions, incident scenes, and disaster areas.…”
