<span lang="EN-US">This study aimed to uncover the difficulties that special education students face in field training at Al-Balqa Applied University during the corona pandemic. The study investigated whether these difficulties were affected by gender (males-females). To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher designed survey consisting of 36 items. The sample of the study consisted of 30 male and female students enrolled in the field training course in the first semester of the academic year 2020/22021. The results showed that field training difficulties associated with the subscale of the students and supervisors were high. However, the difficulties related to the training center were medium. The study also showed no statistically significant differences in the difficulties between students due to the gender variable.</span>

Youth with physical disabilities may have concerns about their bodily functions and appearance, which do not typically conform to sociocultural norms. A mounting body of research confirmed that physical disability has an adverse impact on self-esteem development. This study aimed at developing a cognitive therapy module for professional counsellors to help Malaysian youth with physical disabilities enhance their self-esteem. The methodology comprised three stages: (i) self-esteem baseline assessment; (ii) module design and development; and (iii) module evaluation. First, the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale was used to collect data from 110 youth with physical disabilities. The results revealed that participants had moderate levels of self-esteem (mean, x̄ = 30.16). This finding highlighted the need to increase the level of self-esteem among youth with physical disabilities. The second stage involved the development of the cognitive therapy module for self-esteem enhancement (CTSEE) using Sidek’s model of module development, which resembles the ADDIE framework. The third stage involved evaluating the module’s content validity and reliability. Findings showed that the therapy module has high content validity and reliability. The overall findings demonstrate that the CTSEE module can be applied by professional counsellors to enhance self-esteem among youth with physical disabilities.

Introduction To improve the quality of care and reduce the negative effects of caregiving, modules that address the needs of caregivers must be developed. There hasn't been much progress in Indonesia in creating online training programs for dementia care at home. Objective This study aims to develop online training modules on dementia care at home that are especially suited to the needs of family caregivers. Methods The modules were developed using the Sidek Module Development Model (SMDM), which consisted of two stages: [a] developing the module drafts and [b] testing and evaluating the modules. The study involved semi-structured in-depth interviews with fifteen family caregivers caring for older adults with dementia that focused on [i] existing problems and challenges that family caregivers face in caring for older adults with dementia, [ii] the needs of family caregivers in caring for older adults with dementia and self-care, and [iii] strategies to meet those needs. The interview results were analyzed using the collaizi method. Results Seven modules were developed based on the family needs in this study, including aging processes in older adults, dementia and its impact, communication adapted to the older adults’ condition, management of issues arising in older adults with dementia, becoming resilient family caregivers, addressing issues faced by family caregivers, and self-help groups. The module content validity scores ranged between 90.73% and 94.73% based on the respective aspects of the modules, with an overall content validity score of 92.79%. Conclusion The findings suggest that the online training modules on dementia care at home for family caregivers are appropriate and applicable for online training programs aimed to improve the knowledge and abilities of caregivers in providing self-care and care for older adults with dementia.
