Development and Validation of a Stability Indicating Uplc Method, Identification, and Characterization of Three Degradant Impurities in Pharmaceutical Dosage Form of Rabeprazole Sodium

Abstract: & A simple, sensitive, and reproducible ultra performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) coupled with a photodiode array detector method was developed for the quantitative determination of Rabeprazole Sodium and its three potential degradant impurities along with other six impurities in pharmaceutical dosage forms. Three unknown impurities of Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, were formed in the formulated drug under the stress conditions, [40 C=75% Relative humidity (RH) for 6 months] with relative retention… Show more

“…Literature survey reveals that several methods including UV spectrophotometry, HPTLC, capillary electrophoresis, HPLC-tandem mass spectrometry [19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27] have been developed for the determination of rabeprazole in its single, multi-component dosage or in other complex forms. [28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36] However, the sensing of this drug by electrochemical sensor is an unexplored matter and compared to other approaches, electroanalytical methods are less expensive, capable of multianalyte screening, and able to respond quickly to the target analyte.…”
