“…In the FTIR spectrum, a peak located at 3007 cm −1 is observed for AG, which corresponds to the C=CH stretching vibrations. This peak is not present in AE, which indicates that a large part of the C=C unsaturations are present in triglyceride chains that have participated in the epoxidation reaction [30–31] . Peaks at 2954 and 2923 cm −1 were found in both oils, characteristic of asymmetric stretching vibrations of the methyl (CH 3 ) and methylene (CH 2 ) functional groups, respectively.…”

“…This peak is not present in AE, which indicates that a large part of the C=C unsaturations are present in triglyceride chains that have participated in the epoxidation reaction. [30][31] Peaks at 2954 and 2923 cm À 1 were found in both oils, characteristic of asymmetric stretching vibrations of the methyl (CH 3 ) and methylene (CH 2 ) functional groups, respectively. The peak at 2850 cm À 1 corresponds to the symmetric stretching vibrations of CH 2 .…”

“…Numerous substances, including cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, and others, make up the BPF and these components provide the strength to the BPF and the amount of fiber content affect the mechanical characteristics of its reinforced composites. 32 Following alkali treatment, BPF's surface area was increased (Figure 3), allowing more space for resin covering. Additionally, alkali treatment also increased the unprocessed BPF's tensile strength from 572 to 664 MPa.…”

“…In recent years, compared to the pots made up of petroleum-based or ceramic materials, seedling pots prepared from natural fiber have received more significant attention due to their biodegradation. Converting straw fiber into biodegradable seedling pots is an efficient agricultural waste management strategy, which can reduce the atmospheric and soil pollution resulting from straw burning or direct incorporation into fields. Moreover, they can increase the survival rate of crops by avoiding root damage since the plants do not have to be removed from the pots before planting . However, some disadvantages such as low wet strength, poor water resistance and the resulting difficulty in transportation limit the wide application of straw fiber pots. …”
