Creative thinking skills are one of the main skills that students must have from an early age to be able to work effectively, to be able to take control and create technology in the future. Creative thinking skills as mastery of 21 st century skill is essential for future education of students. This study aims to determine the feasibility of E-Module Problem Based Learning to improve students' creative thinking skills. This was research and development that refers to the five steps of the ADDIE development model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research has reached the development stage. Data collection in this study was carried out using a student need scale for E-module Problem Based Learning, material feasibility test scale, and media feasibility test scale. The product feasibility test was carried out by material experts, and media experts. The purpose of validation is to obtain media feasibility assessment data and comments for product improvement. The results of the feasibility test and practicality test were analyzed quantitatively using the conversion of four criteria. The results show the resulting E-Module Problem Based Learning is declared very feasible by material experts, and media with an average number of 3.8 and 3.35. It means E-Module Problem Based Learning can using for increase creative thinking skill of students.

Creative thinking skills are important for long-term success. Empowering creative thinking skills which can be trained through problem-solving activities in learning, thereby promoting high cognitive engagement. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of the research and development product of Problem-Based Learning module of environmental changes in empowering students’ creative thinking skills. The research method used was the Quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The sample of the research was the tenth-graders of a Senior High School in Karanganyar district, Central Java. The sampling was cluster sampling by involving two classes, namely the Grade X-MIA 1 with 28 students and the X-MIA 4 with 28 students. The qualitative and quantitative-descriptive approaches were used to analyze the data. The result shows the mean of creative thinking skills score of experiment group is higher than the control group. This developed module could empower students’ creative thinking skills by problem-solving activities as needed for Indonesian educational goal . The study concludes that development module was constructed based on Problem-based Learning activities in the module could stimulate students solved and identified the problems with their ideas and developed their creative thinking.

Education is one of life aspect is currently required in 2013--revised in 2017--curriculum to have skills that must collaborate in realizing students who have character and have scientific insight. In the process of learning science at the unit level of education, especially the junior secondary level in biology, there is still a demand and need from practical aspects to improve teaching materials that are updated to increase student competency. The purpose of this study is to improve the competency of students based on the national examination results of students during the last 3 years from 2016 to 2018 decreased in percentage. This research was conducted by a descriptive research method. The subjects of this study were students of class XI in Surakarta Junior High School. Data on the results of national examinations for the last 3 years were collected using the National Education Assessment Center (PusPenDikNas) data and analyzed using the National Education Standard (SNP) instrument of 8 Standards. The results of the analysis of teaching materials used in these schools indicate that the highest percentage of gab or problems in the standard process is 2.78%. This shows that teaching materials that are still used in schools need to be improved, therefore teaching materials must be a concern in the learning process of student science.
