Developed jet-centrifugal spray devices: experimental testing to establish the possibility of their application in plants spraying technologies

Abstract: Purpose: Experimentally substantiate the possibility of using the developed jet-centrifugal spraying device in plants spraying technologies. Design/methodology/approach: Many years of experience in creating spraying devices for solving practical problems in various industries made it possible to propose a design diagram of a single-phase jet-centrifugal spraying device. The tests were aimed at achieving device characteristics that are acceptable for use in plants spraying technologies such as jet coverage dist… Show more

“…Drift is characterized by droplets that are not deposited on the target. Vambol et al (2020) reported that a 100 µm droplet may be subject to significant deviations. The same authors also reported that water droplets smaller than 150 µm evaporate approximately 27% faster than do larger droplets.…”

“…Land degradation (LD) is a global problem in the 21st century because of its negative impacts on biological productivity, the environment, food security, and quality of life. Technogenic processes become more complex every year and worsen the ecological state of the soil due to the settling of toxic dust floating in the atmosphere (Ziarati et al, 2020;Vambol et al, 2019;Hussain et al, 2022a), pollution through waste (Hanoshenko et al, 2022;Hussain et al, 2022b;Vambol et al, 2023), application of plant protection chemicals (Vambol et al, 2020), watering from polluted sources (Khan et al, 2022;Zahorodniuk et al, 2019). The deterioration of soil purity leads to the production of low-quality products that are harmful to human health and activity (Karlova et al, 2017;Hulai et al, 2022).…”

“…Since few decades, the application of herbicide had been used at large scale to control unwanted plant from wheat crops (Rashid et al, 2022). The excess application of herbicide for controlling of unwanted weed may cause harm to soil health, water pollution and also affect major crop growth and development (Farooq et al, 2011;Vambol et al, 2020). To tackle this unfriendly approach, the best solution is that to use of organic allelopathy manipulation for crop improvement and ecofriendly safety (Singh et al, 2003).…”
