STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Education; Is an educational approach that many countries in the world have included in their curricula that allow learners to view the knowledge they learn in science, technology, engineering and mathematics courses, aiming at transforming theoretical knowledge into practice, product and innovative inventions. It is aimed to be able to adapt easily to the qualities of the business life thanks to these skills when the STEM trained individuals enter into the business world, as well as being an approach that is based on giving the skills of STEM education, production and invention. Within the scope of the study, attempts were made to investigate the initiatives and new trends of STEM education from 2010 until the day. Document analysis and thematic content analysis (meta-synthesis) method was used in the research process. Thematic content analysis; Analyze, synthesize and interpret the findings of more than one research on the same subject, with a critical point of view, in contrast to the theme or templates specified and raw data. During the research; Articles, theses, reports and reports which are reached from various sources in the national and international literature have been examined and a wide-scale resource has been created by considering every point related to the contents of the work. The results of the research were examined under various headings and a broad framework was established and recommendations were made.

Students' weak ability to understand electrochemical concepts is due to the lack of self-directed learning (SDL) in finding their own understanding outside the classroom and not used to evaluate the learning difficulties they experienced. The android-based e-books could be used to support students’ independent learning, to evaluate learning outcomes through practice questions and direct feedback, and to exchange opinions between students and lecturers. The aim of this study is to produce an android-based electrochemical e-book to emerge students’ SDL. To achieve the aim, this study employs ADDIE development models which consist of five steps; analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate. Data were collected using content validity, face validity assessment, response questionnaires and SDL. The result of content validity is 0.94 and categorized as valid. Based on face validity, vast majority of users stated that the e-book application is attractive and easy to use. Moreover, the explanation, graphics, videos, quiz questions and discussion in the e-book application are clear. The results of the implementation of application as additional learning resource for electrochemical concepts can foster students’ SDL in the high category with an average percentage of confidence at 87.20%. Students show a positive response to the use of the application in helping them understand the concepts, working on assignments, discussions between friends and lecturers, digging more in-depth information, and do practice questions in a short time, also easy to use. Thus, it can be concluded that the android-based e-book application could help students develop their SDL

Many new concepts have been constructed by associating many familiar concepts such as tourism, energy, agriculture and development to the term of sustainability. Some of them are; sustainable development, sustainable agriculture and sustainable tourism etc. Undoubtedly, sustainability is mentioned in many areas such as media, politics, economics and academia. This concept is tried to be gained through the information and practices provided about sustainability to the individuals who make up the society. It is known that sustainability in science education is not evaluated with a holistic approach from the perspective of economy, ecology and energy. If it is assumed that individuals have not theoretical background and culture about sustainability, there can be thought that they will have problem for sustainable lifestyle. Therefore, it can be said that theoretical and practical studies which will help individuals are important in order to a more livable World. The purpose of this study is to construct broad a conceptual framework upon renewable energy policies from the sustainability perspective by linking the terms of economy, ecology and energy known in the literature as 3E. In the method of this research, firstly sustainability is examined from a holistic approach and was developed a model. Then starting from sustainability, socio-scientific issues, production, wastes, ecology, sociology, feminism, cultures, developmental differences, energy production, energy storage and transportation, the renewable ones, photosynthesis, biomass and pyrolysis are connected and interrelated in holistic manner by considering chemistry and politics. In the result of the research, it is arisen that conservative and elder women who is the ability to be happy while consuming less which must be followed and obeyed. By this way, new insights can be obtained and deduced for better inhabitable world peacefully.
