Abstract:synopsisA thin-layer chromatographic method has been developed for the quantitative determination of poly(oxypropy1ene diols) present in poly(oxypropy1ene triols). The polyols are separated on silica gel plates in a modified developing chamber using ethyl acetate as the developer. Quantitative results were obtained by conventional visualization and densitometer techniques. Polyols ranging in average molecular weight from 400 to 3000 have been resolved by this method. Diols present in a mixture with triols can … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
