Determination of Mesotrione Residues and Metabolites in Crops, Soil, and Water by Liquid Chromatography with Fluorescence Detection

Abstract: A method for the determination of residues of mesotrione and two metabolites in a variety of environmental matrixes has been developed. Mesotrione, a new selective herbicide for use in corn, is 2-(4-methylsulfonyl-2-nitrobenzoyl)-1,3-cyclohexanedione.
