Determinants of the Success of Information Techology Project Management in Thailand

Abstract: A theoretical model of information technology (IT) project management was formulated based on the results of previous studies incorporating transactional and transformational leadership styles, team diversity, and team culture as determinants of team processes and project outcomes. The study addresses the lack of previous studies of IT projects and is concerned with infrastructure and software projects conducted in cross-functional environments with co-located teams in the context of Thailand. The model was te… Show more

“…Meanwhile, multi-group analysis from AMOS software was employed to review the moderating effect, based on Neuman's ( 2014) guidance. In the end, to increase the value of the fit statistic of the theoretical model and find a more appropriate model based on finding, the exploratory analysis to develop the research model was conducted to analyze and obtain a new model with the lowest value of Normed chi-square based on Kline (2016) and Winley's (2015) direction. Finally, the result from SEM analysis was construed based on the proposed hypothesis and related prior studies to recommend the theoretical and practical implications for direct, indirect, and moderating effects.…”

“…In total, six modifications were added to the theoretical model and these include the four possible insignificant direct effects (Hypothesis 1, 2, 5, and 8) and two plausible proposed indirect effects (Hypothesis 11 and 12) to produce 2 6 = 64 possibility models. Furthermore, the Specification Search function provided by AMOS software was utilized to analyze and obtain a new model with the lowest value of Normed chi-square based on Kline (2016) and Winley's (2015) direction. This exploratory analysis technique had also been employed by previous researchers to develop research models (Gharib, 2016; Kristianto, 2017; Pramana, 2018; Handarkho and Harjoseputro, 2019).…”

“…Moreover, the multi-group analysis was also performed using Amos software according to Kline (2016), to investigate the effect of moderating factors on the direct predictor of intention to use. Finally, an exploratory analysis was conducted to develop the theoretical model based on the data obtained to improve the value of fit statistics by finding the model with the lowest normed chi-square using the function in Amos called specification search facility as proposed by Winley (2015) and Kline (2016).…”
