Economic growth drives increased demand for resources, placing greater pressure on the agricultural sector. While the adoption of advanced technologies and increased capital investment can enhance productivity, they also have environmental consequences, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions. Based on this interconnected issue, this study aims to examine the long-term relationships between economic growth, agricultural productivity, gross fixed capital formation, and greenhouse gas emissions in Indonesia, utilizing data from the period 1965-2021. The study employs the Dynamic Ordinary Least Squares (DOLS) and Fully-Modified Ordinary Least Squares (FMOLS) methods, and includes robustness checks using the Canonical Cointegration Regressions (CCR) method. To provide a more comprehensive insight, the study also employs the pairwise Granger causality approach to detect the direction of the relationships. In concise terms, the results suggest that agricultural productivity, gross fixed capital formation, and greenhouse gas emissions have a positive long-term influence on economic growth. Additionally, gross fixed capital formation has a negative effect, while economic growth has a positive long-term impact on agricultural productivity. Furthermore, agricultural productivity has a negative impact, while economic growth indicates a positive long-term effect on gross fixed capital formation. Moreover, economic growth positively influences greenhouse gas emissions over the long term. Lastly, the study found three bidirectional causalities, with greenhouse gas emissions as the central figure. These important findings provide crucial information for policymakers, economists, and environmentalists, giving a nuanced understanding of the intricate relationships between economic activities and environmental consequences, as well as aiding in the formulation of sustainable strategies for green economic growth, especially in Indonesia.

Агропродовольча сфера відіграє важливу роль у сталому розвитку країни, забезпечуючи продуктами харчування населення та є однією з ключових галузей економіки. Проте, щоб забезпечити стійкий розвиток агропродовольчого сектора, необхідно забезпечити його інноваційним потенціалом. У статті розглянуто та досліджено детермінанти інноваційного розвитку в агропродовольчій сфері та їхній вплив на економічний ріст цієї галузі. Значення інновацій для агропродовольчої галузі зрозуміло, оскільки вони можуть покращити якість продуктів, збільшити їх виробництво та знизити витрати на їх створення. Проаналізовано різні аспекти інноваційного розвитку в даній галузі, зокрема технологічний процес, маркетинг, менеджмент та ресурсне забезпечення. Досліджено роль державної політики в підтримці інноваційного розвитку в агропродовольчому секторі, а саме програми фінансування та пільги для підприємств, що впроваджують інновації, розвиток освітньої системи та наукових центрів, що займаються дослідженнями в галузі агропромислового комплексу. Результати дослідження показали, що найбільш важливими детермінантами інноваційного розвитку в агропродовольчій галузі є технологічний розвиток, інвестиції, науково-дослідна діяльність, розвиток людського капіталу та маркетинг. Було встановлено, що інноваційний розвиток в агропродовольчому секторі має значний вплив на економічний розвиток цієї галузі, що в свою чергу позитивно впливає на економіку загалом. Проте, варто відзначити, що інноваційний розвиток в агропродовольчій сфері пов'язаний зі значними викликами, такими як недостатнє фінансування, недостатня інформаційна підтримка, а також складність впровадження нових технологій у секторі, що може потребувати зміни традиційних виробничих практик. Стаття спрямована на визначення того, які детермінанти інноваційного розвитку в агропродовольчій сфері є найбільш важливими, та як вони впливають на зростання економіки цієї галузі.

The agro-food sector is one of the key industries that provides humanity with essential food products. However, it has faced challenges in sustainable development and environmental safety, raising questions about the efficiency and sustainability of this industry. Accordingly, there is ample room for innovation in the agro-food sector. The article analyzes the innovative activity in the agro-food sector at the present stage. The main problems and shortcomings of innovation development in this industry are identified, and the most influential factors that impede the development and implementation of innovative technologies in agriculture are considered. The main objectives of the study are to analyze the processes of innovation development in the agricultural industry in Ukraine, identify the main shortcomings and problems that hinder innovation development in this industry, and list the factorsthat will contribute to the development of innovative processes in Ukrainian agricultural enterprises. Various research methods were used to address the tasks at hand, including general scientific methods such as analysis and synthesis; scientific abstraction; induction and deduction, as well as specialized methods such as a monographic approach (during the study of the current state of innovation processes in the agricultural sector of Ukraine); and a comprehensive approach (during the development of recommendations for the development of innovations in the agro-industrial sector). It was determined that the agro-industrial complex occupies a leading position among industries that significantly influence the economic situation in Ukraine. It was noted thatone of the leading roles in the effective development of innovative technologies, particularly in agriculture, is played by innovative infrastructure: technoparks, business incubators, as they contribute to entering the innovation market. The use of cutting-edge technologies, the implementation of smart production management systems, which make it possible to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and provide more accurate planning, were also discussed. Proposed innovations, such as support in the fields of breeding, nanotechnology, and genetic engineering, have significant potential for improving the efficiency and resilience of production and activity in the agricultural sector of Ukraine.
