The development of a model to improve business processes in e-supply chains involves the use of a process approach to and a methodology for information systems development and includes the definition of the requirement, logical key process modeling with the defined information flow within the logical subsystem, logical data modeling, the logical network and data distribution modeling, and the logical interface modeling in order to meet different users´ needs. In doing so, a variety of methods and techniques for the different development stages of management information systems are used, namely: the business process management, the business process performance management and the analytic hierarchy process as a method for multiple-criteria decision making. This paper analyzes business processes and different types of supply chains in the automotive industry, as the representative of complex systems. Based on the selected key business processes and key performance indicators of business processes, the analytic hierarchy process model is developed, followed by their optimization. The result is the management information system model intended to improve the key business processes in e-supply chains. The research results show that the performance improvement of business processes in e-supply chains, the application of the model to improve the key business processes and the application of Web-based information and communication solutions affect the efficiency and quality of e-supply chains.

A problem of Business Excellence (BE) has been investigated according to different aspects. For more detailed analysis it is necessary to develop an integrative model of business excellence, respecting baseline model of business excellence according to European Foundation of Quality Management (EFQM), with possibility to define relationships and level of significance of different variables. The main goal of the paper is to develop an integrative model for simulation effects in order to improve the ICT support, quality and leadership as independent variables on business excellence (BE). The model has been developed using techniques of modelling complex dynamic systems and evaluated using statistical techniques. In the sample of 159 organization in Serbian ICT support, leadership and quality and their impact on BE have been analysed. After analysis of simulation, it had been concluded that it is possible to improve business excellence with relative small investment in ICT support, leadership and quality.

The purpose of thispaper is to examine the bidirectional relationship between two sets of variables, higher education and training (eight indicators) and innovation (seven indicators), using the canonical correlation analysis (CCA). The study utilisesdata published by the World Economic Forum Reports for seven years (2012-2018) for a sample of 12 countries in the MENA area.CCA is used to analyse the relationship between the two sets of variables. It helps in the evaluation of the interchangeable relationships between the two sets of multiple variates. More in-depth analysis of the nature of such a relationship between the two sets of variables is provided through redundancy analysis to identify the percentage of the variance in each set that is interpreted by the other set, andthe commonality analysis to determine the variance of canonical function that is due to unique or standard variables. Canonicalanalysis shows the causality between the two endogenous sets of variables. Also, the findings suggest that technology alone is not an antidote, while other factors might have a significant impact on innovation. Commonality analysis shows that the role of quality of management school in explaining the variation in canonical function of innovation in common with “quality of education system”, “quality of math and science”, “internet access”, “training availability and “staff training produce”.
