Detection and eradication of chrysanthemum stunt viroid in Spain

Abstract: Chrysanthemum stunt disease has been detected in Spain. An imprint‐hybridization method using digoxigenin‐labelled probes has been evaluated for quick detection of chrysanthemum stunt viroid (CSVd). The sensitivity of the method has been evaluated with several cultivars grown under different environmental conditions. The method has been successfully used in the eradication of CSVd.
