Detecting and Quantifying Mind Wandering during Simulated Driving

Abstract: Mind wandering is a pervasive threat to transportation safety, potentially accounting for a substantial number of crashes and fatalities. ERPs of secondary task or control stimuli which are outside of the immediate spotlight of attention such as SSVEP 44 or auditory probes 37,45 were not modulated by attentional states.
