Abstract:The purpose of this research is to design service design, design a canvas business model (BMC) based on the design of services that have been designed and know the role of society. The required data is divided into two, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained by conducting interviews and observations to tourists, managers and the community around Siregar Aek Nalas. Primary data obtained such as access, amenities, safety and security, processes, physical or digital artifacts, stakehold… Show more
“…Conversely, if the expectations are not achieved, the quality of the service does not meet what it wants, or the company fails to serve its customers. If the expectations are the same as those obtained, the consumer is satisfied (Simanjuntak, 2021;Simanjuntak & Putra, 2021). Satisfaction is the level of one's feelings after comparing the perceived performance (results) with his expectations.…”
The research objective was to determine and analyze the influence of the physical evidence of service quality, caring, responsiveness, reliability, and guaranteeing customer satisfaction at the PT. Pegadaian Watansoppeng branch. Research carried out explanatory research and survey methods. The study population is new clients served PT. Pegadaian Watansoppeng Branch Company. The samples were taken using purposive sampling and obtained 100 samples. This research's data analysis methods are descriptive analysis with Linear Regression calculation, where the independent variables consist of physical evidence, concern, responsibility, reliability, assurance, dependent variable satisfaction customer. The results of studies using multiple linear regression analysis showed that service quality dimensions significantly influence customer satisfaction. As for the t-test is known that a significant level for each variable that is physical evidence = 0.658, concern = 0.002, responsiveness = 0.338, reliability = 0.000, and assurance = 1.239. From these results, two variables can prove the second hypothesis suggesting that the physical evidence of service quality dimensions, concern, responsiveness, reliability, and guarantees the dominant influence on customer satisfaction at the PT. Pegadaian Watansoppeng branch of the variable of concern and reliability and three other variables that physical evidence, responsiveness, and assurance are support for this study hypothesis.

“…Utilising 347 migrant visitors in Ghana, Preko (2021) concluded that safety and security play a vital role in wealthy tourism development, which might contribute to the intention of the diaspora to recommend the destination as safe for tourists. Despite existing studies (Agarwal et al, 2021;Mawby et al, 2021;Simanjuntak, 2021), there is limited research in terms of the diasporic view of safety and security (Preko, 2021). This is, however, neglected within halal tourism from a non-Islamic country's perspective, utilising TPB, leading to the seventh hypothesis:…”

PurposeThis paper sought to examine the factors that influence intention to recommend, focussing on the extension of the theory of planned behaviour in halal tourism, with additional instruments such as halal safety and security, and trustworthiness of halal information.Design/methodology/approachGuided by a quantitative approach, cross-sectional data were collected using 394 Muslim diaspora tourists. The analysis technique used in this study is the partial least square structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM).FindingsThe results suggest that halal planned behaviour may account for the intention to recommend. Halal attitude, subjective norm, halal image, halal value, halal safety and security, and trustworthiness of halal information positively and significantly affect intention to recommend.Practical implicationsMuslim diaspora tourists are identified to have halal planned behaviour on intention to recommend. Hence, destination managers and practitioners are suggested to develop proactive halal products and services that appeal to tourists' intention to recommend.Originality/valueThis study has developed two new constructs: halal safety and security, and the trustworthiness of halal information grounded on the theory of planned behaviour in halal tourism. Specifically, the focus is on Muslim diasporic tourists' perspective in a non-Islamic context.
