“…A superhydrophobic surface refers to a surface with a static water contact angle (WCA) greater than 150° and contact angle hysteresis (the difference between advancing and receding contact angle, θ Hys ) less than 10°, [ 1,2 ] having attracted tremendous attention from both academia and industrial fields over the past decades, because of their potential applications [ 3 ] ranging from self‐cleaning surfaces, [ 4,5 ] oil–water separation, [ 6,7 ] waterproof textiles, [ 8,9 ] to biotechnology. [ 10 ] The wetting behavior of a solid surface is typically governed by two vital factors – chemical composition and surface topography.…”

“…An ideal wound dressing should be nontoxic, nonallergenic, nonadherentto skin, and able to absorb excess exudates to maintain an ideal moist environment for the wound [ 4 ]. Further, an ideal would dressing should possess biocompatible and antimicrobial properties to enhance wound healing, as well as a self-cleaning ability to prevent contamination [ 8 , 9 ].…”

“…A further problem stems from the rapid increases in many people’s quality of life, which necessitates that textiles exhibit functionality in addition to their normal domestic and clothing properties. Sustained-release-of-aroma 3 4 , self-cleaning 5 6 , antimicrobial 7 , antistatic 8 , flame-retardant 9 10 , insect-repellent 11 , electromagnetic-shielding 12 , waterproof, and moisture-permeable 13 14 properties are various functional textile characteristics that have recently received much attention.…”
