BackgroundThe Joint Commission on International Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCI) standard is a hospital accreditation standard recognized by the medical industry worldwide. However, the previous Chinese hospital management model cannot be fully integrated with the JCI standard. The purpose of this study is to explore a new Chinese hospital management mode that adapts to JCI standard.MethodsThis article retrospectively analyzed the initial results of the operation of the double QSSE management mode at Xuzhou Renci Hospital, a Chinese private hospital from 2016 to 2018. The innovation mode combines the four elements of patients' needs "Quaesitum, Solicitude, Surroundings, and Expenditure" with the four core contents of hospital management "Quality, Service, Staff and Economic operation".ResultsAfter two years implementation of the model, Xuzhou Renci hospital has reached a series of achievements, including being elected as the honest private hospitals and ranking first, achieved the highest grade of "special satisfaction" in the third-party hospital satisfaction survey organized by the government; being rated as "the most beautiful hospital in China" and awarded the title of "the most beautiful hospital in China—the light of the city"; promoted to the third-grade orthopedic hospital in 2019; ranked in the forefront of original non-public hospitals in northern Jiangsu Province in the Chinese hospital competitiveness conference hosted by Asclepius Health in Hong Kong 2019; recognized as the "safe demonstration hospital" in Jiangsu Province 2019.ConclusionThe double QSSE refined management mode has the characteristics of standardization, quantification, comparison, easy assessment and easy replication, which improves not only the patient-centered medical experience, but also the hospital-department quality management system. It is an innovative hospital management mode that conforms to JCI standard and adapts to China's national conditions.

Current research on software vulnerability analysis mostly focus on source codes or executable programs. But these methods can only be applied after software is completely developed when source codes are available. This may lead to high costs and tremendous difficulties in software revision. On the other hand, as an important product of software design phase, architecture can depict not only the static structure of software, but also the information flow due to interaction of components. Architecture is crucial in determining the quality of software. As a result, by locating the architecture-level information flow that violates security policies, vulnerabilities can be found and fixed in the early phase of software development cycle when revision is easier with lower cost. In this paper, an approach for analyzing information flow vulnerability in software architecture is proposed. First, the concept of information flow vulnerability in software architecture is elaborated. Corresponding security policies are proposed. Then, a method for constructing service invocation diagrams based on graph theory is proposed, which can depict information flow in software architecture. Moreover, an algorithm for vulnerability determination is designed to locate architecture-level vulnerabilities. Finally, a case study is provided, which verifies the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed methods.

Given that model‐based systems engineering (MBSE) captures the structure and behavior of an engineered system in an overarching system model, MBSE appears to be a promising approach to managing large infrastructure projects (LIPs). However, it is not apparent how to most appropriately organize the associated system model—and hence the infrastructure project itself. Furthermore, MBSE may today not be readily accepted by the civil engineering industry. In this research, a hypothetical project for the geological disposal of radioactive waste is taken as an example of an LIP and initial system models of the entire disposal project are created. Furthermore, a network representation of the project is generated and examined with network theory. Based on the results, different project organizations are synthesized and evaluated. Eventually, the initial system models are updated to accommodate the most suitable organization according to the network analysis results. In addition, the perception of, and attitude toward MBSE is assessed by means of a cross‐sectional survey in a civil engineering company. The generation of system models of LIPs is found to be straightforward. Network theory is able to unveil the complex structure of LIPs in order to identify the most suitable way to organize them and the associated system models. The survey results suggest that MBSE may find broad acceptance in the civil engineering industry.
