The protein–vanadium complex was successfully synthesized and systematically characterized using electron paramagnetic resonance, Fourier transform‐infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis. The antioxidant activity analysis indicated that it had better radical scavenging activity on 1,1‐diphenyl‐2‐picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2′‐azinobis (3‐ethylbenzothiazoline)‐6‐sulfonic acid (ABTS) and O2− compared with the free protein and vanadate. Additionally, the complex exhibited high anti‐diabetic activity against Saccharomyces cerevisiae α‐glucosidase and rat intestinal maltase with IC50 values of 258.53 and 72.41 μg/ml, respectively. Kinetics study showed that the complex was a mixed inhibition type against S. cerevisiae α‐glucosidase and uncompetitive inhibition type against rat intestinal maltase. These indicated that the complex with antioxidant and anti‐diabetic potential could be used for lowering blood glucose that might be caused by insufficient secretion of insulin in the body or excess fat storage. Our findings provide a new protein–vanadium complex for further use in diabetes mellitus or obesity.

Due to inaccurate safe navigation estimates, maritime accidents have been occurring consistently. In order to solve this, the precise positioning technology using carrier phase information is used, but due to high buildings near inland waterways or inclination, satellite signals might become weak or blocked for some time. Under this weak signal environment for some time, the GPS raw measurements become less accurate so that it is difficult to search and maintain the integer ambiguity of carrier phase. In this paper, a method to generate code and carrier phase measurements under this environment and maintain resilient navigation is proposed. In the weak signal environment, the position of the receiver is estimated using an inertial sensor, and with this information, the distance between the satellite and the receiver is calculated to generate code measurements using IGS product and model. And, the carrier phase measurements are generated based on the statistics for generating fractional phase. In order to verify the performance of the proposed method, the proposed method was compared for a fixed blocked time. It was confirmed that in case of a weak or blocked satellite signals for 1 to 5 minutes, the proposed method showed more improved results than the inertial navigation only, maintaining stable positioning accuracy within 1 m.

The main aim of this research was to increase the operation efficiency of agricultural tractor to suit the conditions and potentials of the Egyptian farmer. This leads to increase the rates of the feddan production and raise the value of the yield per feddan. This meets the requirement to achieve the strategic goals of the agricultural development by modifying and developing the modern technology, especially the agricultural tractors to suit the local environment in all agricultural operations, including plowing. Laboratory experiments and statistical analysis for the data of the research were run and hydraulically steering was designed by suing a closed hydraulic circuit for the tractor. The main results obtained from the experiments are summarized in the following main points: 1. Mathematical equations are derived to find the steering angles. 2. Decreasing the repeated technical problems in the steering equipments of the tractors. 3. Decreasing the operation, maintain and used spare parts in the steering equipments of tractors. 4-The modification suits all the agricultural operations even for small holdings in Egypt. INTRODUCTION he agricultural tractor is the backbone of the Egyptian agriculture because it does all the different field processes. It must be improved to suit the conditions and potentials of the Egyptian farmer to increases the efficiency of its operation. This study aims to develop steering in particular. It aims to design a mechanism which can be controlled hydraulically to work on the front land-wheels. Louis and Kersey (1938) mentioned that correct steering of wheels should be in planes which are tangential to their respective paths.
