Design of a novel dual-circular polarized based on SIW-CPW coupler

Abstract

Ahstract-This paper designed a kind of dual-circular polarized antenna based on substrate integrated waveguide structure (S IW). This antenna con tains as IW-CPW coupler and two resonant slot antennas. The coupler uses SIW' as the radiation portion while coplanar waveguide (CPW) is the in put matching portion that is connected direct ly to the active circuits, and each resonant sl ot antenna has six _45° or 45° radiating slots arranged on the broad wal l of the radiating SIW's. What is more the perfect combination of them can realize the function of dual-�ircular polarization (rnCp and RHCP). The simulation res ults show that the antenna has a relative bandwidth over 5.3 % (22.1-23.3GHz) under axial ratio bandwidth and the isolation between two ch annels is higher than 22 dB within frequency band. The realizable gain is 12.2dB.
