The use of technology to facilitate educational activities amid the Covid-19 pandemic era is becoming an urgency in the academic world today. This is intended so that the teaching and learning process remains conducive, including the process of internship activities that must be followed by students. Continuing our previous studies to build a more modern and suitable internship program, we build an internship system called Excellent Internship System (EIS). This internship system is based on a website platform that can be adopted in higher education institutions. The platform has been developed through the Research and Development (R&D) method with five IT and education experts, as well as thirty students who have taken internships during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. The EIS platform was developed by considering user-friendly aspects, easy access for lecturers, students, and even the institutions where internships were hosted, therefore it is also could be the supportive facility for the internships process.

Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Bimbingan Tugas Akhir (SIBTA) menggunakan metode Waterfall bertujuan meningkatkan efisiensi bimbingan tugas akhir di perguruan tinggi. Tantangan manajemen informasi, jadwal, dan pemantauan mahasiswa diatasi melalui pendekatan sistematis. SIBTA berkontribusi pada peningkatan efisiensi dengan mencatat progres, menyederhanakan penjadwalan, dan meningkatkan aksesibilitas dokumen tugas akhir.Literatur terkait pengembangan Sistem Informasi Tugas Akhir menyoroti penggunaan metode Waterfall dan model use case dalam pengembangan sistem. Studi literatur ini memberikan landasan untuk merancang SIBTA yang responsif terhadap kebutuhan pengguna. Proses identifikasi kebutuhan menjadi landasan penting dalam pengembangan produk yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna.Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Bimbingan Tugas Akhir (SIBTA) berbasis Waterfall menitikberatkan pada identifikasi kebutuhan, studi literatur, perencanaan, implementasi, dan pengujian. Proses ini menghasilkan sistem informasi bimbingan tugas akhir dalam bentuk prototipe. Untuk memastikan kinerja yang optimal, dilakukan pengujian menggunakan metode black box. Metode ini mengevaluasi seluruh fungsionalitas menu yang dapat digunakan. Hasil pengujian black box menunjukkan bahwa program berjalan dengan baik, mencapai tingkat keberhasilan lebih dari 90%. Dengan demikian, SIBTA yang telah dikembangkan siap untuk diimplementasikan dalam proses bimbingan tugas akhir di Program Studi Teknologi Informasi Universitas Respati Yogyakarta.
