Design and Development of a Wireless Remote Point-of-Care Patient Monitoring System

Abstract: Remote patient monitoring is an alternative to comfort to the patient's life, it also allows a more realistic regular home check-ups of patients with certain special medical recording of the patient's health while performing normal conditions or the elderly who are unable to regularly visit a everyday activities. The system uses a configurable model for healthcare facility. This technology reduces the number of home ry . g visits which are now only required when special attention is theladdtion of onyte eired … Show more

“…The indoor location service is only provided by this work. [7] and this work captures the ECG and EEG of patients, but there is no emergency alarm in [7]. When the cardiac arrest situation happens on patients, this work provides the best location precision and the most efficient notification.…”

“…Internetconnected real-time applications which request the processing of real-time tasks in remote application servers running in the public cloud with metric based auto-scaling solutions. Our target applications include remote patient monitoring systems [9,10], real-time traffic control systems, drone navigate cloud platforms, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices requiring transmission of deadline-sensitive data and periodic task executions. We assume that the public cloud infrastructure provides proper security and data backup solutions with a Service Level Agreement (SLA) and mechanisms to fairly share its virtual resources among all its running VMs.…”

“…If only the traditional wire monitoring systems are adopted, the problems will be more and more conspicuous. For example it is trivial for laying wire network [3], wasted cost [4] and low efficient for monitoring [5]. Wireless communication technology with computer networks was growing rapidly in the 21st century.…”
