Design and application of a novel zero-crossing detector circuit

Abstract: In this study, a novel zero-crossing detector has been designed and implemented that operates as quite steady under the distorted grids due to harmonics. For this aim, a circuit has been designed using UA741, an operational amplifier, which is not affected owing to instant spikes and sags on the signals of current or voltage.
