“…Seven patients, three with long cure dentures and two each with medium and short cure dentures, failed to return after insertion and were excluded from the investigation as it could not be presumed that they were satisfied with their prostheses. This approach was similar to that of Deeley (1965), Lutes et al (1972) and Carey (1978) who made routine recall appointments, and was in contrast to Makila (1974) whose patients were told to return only if problems arose.
