“…3C). As we know, K m value represents the transport function of transporter, while V max value means the expression of transporter (Ashida et al, 2004;Miao et al, 2011). In other words, the reduction of V max value for dioscin indicated the expression of Oatps might be decreased in ANIT-induced cholestasis.…”

“…Eight-week-old male Wistar rats were housed in a temperature-and humidity-controlled room and fed rat chow ad libitum. Hyperthyroidism was induced by adding T 4 (12 mg/l) to the drinking water for 21 days as previously described (Ashida et al, 2004). After treatment, the kidney, liver, jejunum, and ileum were excised.…”

“…On the one hand, Rosebrough, Russell, and Richards () reported that high dietary protein increases T4 and Insulin‐like growth factor 1, while decreases plasma triiodothyronine and growth hormone. On the other hand, Ashida, Katsura, Saito, and Inui () induced hyperthyroidism by T4 supplementing of drinking water for 21 days in rats, resulting in a decrease in expression of intestinal PepT1 mRNA. Conversely, Lu and Klaassen () induced hypothyroidism by thyroidectomy in rats, resulted in increased PepT1 expression in the kidney.…”
