Conflict is inevitable in an organization that depends on people’s collaboration and togetherness in actualizing its aims and objectives. A university system, which comprises staff, students, and other extraneous subjects and objects, remains under perpetual uneasiness due to interpersonal conflicts between members of staff, management and staff, students, and students and management or against other staff. The conflicts between these critical stakeholders are inevitable, not only because of the differences in their responsibilities towards organizational goals but because the place of individual differences can not be underestimated. This study presents the Ubuntu politics of process as an alternative to managing organizational conflict in the university system. The study answers questions such as: what are the Ubuntu politics of process, and how can it be deployed to manage or prevent conflicts? This article is theoretical and located within the transformative paradigm. A conceptual analysis was employed to interpret Ubuntu as a framework for alternative conflict management in universities. The concept of Ubuntu was presented, and its politics of process as the assumptions were also presented. The nexus between Ubuntu and conflict management was also argued. The findings showed that the spirit of solidarity and sharing, positive and optimist mindedness, compassion and inner goodness factors can minimize organizational conflict in the university system. The study concludes that the Ubuntu politics of process is a dimension of conflict management in the university system. Universities should promote solidarity and the spirit of sharing, positiveness, an optimistic way of life, caring and compassion, and inner goodness among stakeholders.

This study addresses the vital need for effective methods in assessing dance quality education at the higher education level. The significance of refining assessment practices in dance education is paramount to ensure the continuous improvement of teaching methods and outcomes in this dynamic and expressive discipline. Current practices in assessing dance quality education at the higher education level may lack a comprehensive and standardized method. The research objective for this study is to identify the effective assessment method tailored to the specific nuances of dance education in higher learning institutions to enhance the overall quality of dance education by establishing a comprehensive and standardized evaluation system. This study utilizes library research, employing online resources to investigate the comprehensive practices in dance quality education assessment. The approach involves the analysis of recent articles and theses to discern trends and amalgamate existing knowledge. The findings from the study propose a set of strategies for the development and implementation of the dance quality education assessment system. Firstly, there is a recommendation to explicitly define the goals of dance quality education. Following that, the study suggests the construction of a well-rounded curriculum system dedicated to dance quality education. Additionally, it advocates for the autonomous creation of educational materials specific to dance quality education. Lastly, the findings emphasize the need to bolster the expertise of teaching staff and place a greater emphasis on practical artistic experiences. The comprehensive method for dance quality education assessment in higher education offers a structured approach, emphasizing defined goals, curriculum structure, independent material development, and faculty enhancement. The principal aim of this article, among other crucial determinants, is to elucidate that folklore systemically can be utilised for the sustainable development of tourism in South Africa and in the global sphere. The sociological perspective, through argumentation, is deployed to debate and demonstrate how and why folklore should be gauged and appreciated as an instrument of promoting South Africa’s socioeconomic and development plan. Through the discussions and findings, it becomes evident, therein, that folklore has not been accorded the opportunity to partake in tourism in most African countries, and in particular, South Africa. Given that, it becomes part of the article’s sociological debates to conclusively demonstrate, by appointing three folklore types, how folklore can address the problematised phenomenon. The concluding remarks challenge folklore and tourism scholars to collaboratively open and continue the discourse to serve the country's just and legitimate course. The significance of the article rests on the veracity that folklore and tourism have not been scholarly positioned as complementing or corroborating components in South Africa and elsewhere in the global sphere.
