Decision Model for Saving Stocks Based on TPB and Financial Literacy

Abstract: This study investigated the behavior of investment decisions that were not only assumed on rationality but were also affected by other factors, such as psychological factors, one of which was financial literacy. There were so many causal studies of financial literacy and investment intentions. However, there were still issues of inclusion between studies. Therefore, this study adopted a theory of planned behavior, proposed as an explanatory model for investment intentions associated with financial literacy. By… Show more

“…Another outrageous and interesting fact to be deeply reviewed is that the SNS construct did not have a significant effect on the intention of participation to invest in the Islamic capital market. Empirically, this finding was contradicted by the study exploring individual intention in consuming products of the capital market, depicting that subjective norm is one of the significant determinants to influence individual intention to invest in the capital market (Mulyono, 2021;Phan and Zhou, 2014;Raut, 2020). The insignificant relationship between SNS and individual intention in the Islamic capital market was probably caused by a crucial factor, such as products of the Islamic capital market.…”

“…Initially, some studies had focused on PBC as a mediator in various sectors, such as purchasing intention (Ayu et al, 2013), e-learning adoption (Altawallbeh et al, 2015), individual activities (Alexandris et al, 2007) and environmental behavior (Lin et al, 2021). Specifically, in the context of this study, financial literacy is significant in improving control perception of investment behavior, substantially, if investment control is weak, the intention will decrease (Mulyono, 2021).…”

“…The study found that attitude, subjective norm, and PBC mediated the relationship between personality traits and intention; it also revealed that attitude partially mediated the relationship between risk perception and intention (Ali, 2011). AT, SN, and PBC partially mediated the association between financial literacy and investors' behavioral intention (Mulyono, 2021). Raut (2020) found that attitude and PBC partially mediated the path between past investment behavior and financial literacy with intention.…”

“…Non-performing loans (NPL). Mulyono (2021) added every current bank can manage its credit according to the terms and conditions in force so that it does not cause non-performing loans. Non-performing loans are intentional factors or due to external factors beyond the control of the debtor in repaying credit.…”
