The advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the spread of infectious diseases have increased people’s reliance on information and communication technology (ICT). However, older adults are the most marginalized group affected by ICT, and their activities and daily life have become more difficult than ever during the pandemic. Based on the theory of the TAM, this study analyzed the effect of ICT use on life satisfaction among older adults during the pandemic, and examined the mediating role of social capital. The partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was applied to test the relationships among ICT use, social capital, and life satisfaction, and the Sobel test was used to test the mediating effect and statistical significance of social capital. The results of the analysis confirmed the positive effects of technology’s perceived usefulness and self-efficacy on attitudes and ICT use among older adults. ICT use had a positive effect on life satisfaction. In addition, it was found that social capital had a mediating effect on the relationship between ICT use and life satisfaction. During the pandemic, ICT use not only had a direct effect on life satisfaction but also had an indirect effect through social capital among older adults. The results of this study have implications for research on ICT use and life satisfaction among older adults, and have implications for formulating public policies for active aging. The results of this study can facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the antecedents and consequential factors of the use of digital information among older adults, which not only complements previous studies but also provides a theoretical basis for systematic research on digital literacy and well-being in older adults.

This paper explores the use of social network analysis (SNA) on airlines’ online social networks (OSNs) to extract valuable information for decision support, by analyzing interactions and discursive exchanges between users. The research is focused on fostering customer service of an airline company during a strike period, namely by detecting influential customers (whether satisfied or dissatisfied), address pending requests, and enhancing customer satisfaction, thus promoting issue-solving, and increasing responsiveness. The methodology involves analyzing data from the Facebook account of an airline company, using SNA to structure the data, and calculating metrics to detect possible situations to be addressed by customer service. The research concludes that it is possible to extract valuable information for decision support by analyzing the metrics that were built over the interactions and discursive exchanges between OSN users. SNA metrics enable to measure airline’s call-center performance in terms of speed of answer and customer satisfaction, to identify active users requiring additional support, as well as highly influential customers who may impact on the overall customer satisfaction, thus helping to resolve issues more efficiently. This study provides both theoretical and practical implications: it contributes to the existing literature by integrating social interaction and SNA for decision support in airline’s service context; and it provides practical insights into how companies can use SNA metrics to improve customer service. The research also highlights and corroborates the importance of monitoring social media interactions for decision-making and improving customer service.

Depression is something that affects all human beings. Untreated depression can hurt people's lives. Not only can depression make Christians question God or feel distant from Him, but it also makes living in Christian community more trying. Depression can be very challenging for Christians because there are regrettably fallacies and stigmas associated with it. This research uses an explanatory-confirmatory approach and aims to formulate and use the "Air Hidup" (Living Water) Therapy Model to recover church members from depressive states. The research results were interesting: First, in testing the first hypothesis that there is a high level of confirmation in "Air Hidup" therapy based on Psalms 42-43 to heal depression in church members, thus the hypothesis was declared accepted. In testing the second hypothesis that the proposed idea has a moderate confirmation level in "Air Hidup" therapy based on Psalms 42-43 in people with everyday conditions (minimally depressed category according to the BDI-II scale) in the Church congregation, the hypothesis proposed was highly confirmed. Thus, the idea is declared rejected. In testing the third hypothesis that there is a high level of screening in the BDI-II before "Air Hidup" therapy based on Psalms 42-43 to heal depression in church members, the hypothesis was also declared accepted. In testing the fourth hypothesis that there is a low screening rate in the BDI-II after "Air Hidup" therapy based on Psalms 42-43 to cure depression in church members, the hypothesis was also declared accepted. The characteristics included in the Air Hidup Therapy model are (1) God's Word as the pillar of implementing "Air Hidup" therapy. (2) "Air Hidup" therapy as a solution to recovery from depression in the Synod congregation of the Word Restoration Church. (3) Developing "Air Hidup" therapy to prevent depression at the Word Restoration Church Synod. (4) "Air Hidup" Therapy as an Online Service for Church Congregations. It was thus determined that the "Air Hidup" Therapy Model based on Psalms 42-43 is indeed highly appropriate and effective for recovering depression in church members and must be used as a religion-based therapy model to ease depression in congregants.
