Abstract: Este artigo aborda as reflexões dos Wapichana – povo de língua aruaque que vive nas savanas de Roraima no Brasil, na Guiana e também na Ve­nezuela – sobre a validade de uma prática de conhecimento considerada tradicional: a pesca com timbó.
