Data on microbiological quality assessment of rural drinking water supplies in Tiran County, Isfahan province, Iran

Abstract: A lack of access to safe drinking water can lead to adverse health effects such as infection, disease, and undesirable aesthetic problems. The current study focused on the investigation of groundwater quality in Tiran's villages (Isfahan province, Iran). To determine essential microbiological quality, water samples were collected from 46 randomly-selected water wells during a one-year period. The parameters of pH and chlorine were measured on-site. Turbidity was measured at 420 nm using a DR5000 spectrophotome… Show more

“…All water samples were analyzed according to the Standard Methods for Examination of Water and Wastewater and using titration method permanent hardness, magnesium and calcium were measured [14] , [15] , [16] , [17] , [18] , [19] , [20] . The concentration of hydrogen ion (pH) and electrical conductivity was also analyzed with pH meter (model wtw, Esimetrwb) and turbidity meter (model Hach 50161/co 150 model P2100Hach, USA), respectively [21] , [22] , [23] , [24] , [25] , [26] , [27] , [28] . On the other hand, Values of, SO 4 2 − and Cl − were obtained using spectrophotometer technique.…”

“…Sampling was done from the water wells directly and Also, In the lack of the direct access to the wells, samples were taken from the closest water distribution network that fed from wells. The GIS software and IDW interpolation method were used to determine the latitude and longitude of well locations [6] , [7] , [8] , [9] , [10] , [11] , [12] . The location of the counties, the sampling sites and the dispersion of the Aluminum is shown in the Fig.…”

“…1 . After surveying the studied area, 871 major water resources that were used for bathing, washing, and mainly for drinking, were selected within the 1-year-monitoring period and then mapped using the GIS software [10] , [11] , [12] . Samples were collected using a plastic sampling containers, which were washed with 20% Nitric acid solution.…”
