“…Fluorescence quenching mechanisms can be divided into dynamic quenching and static quenching. 32,33 The former is due to the interaction between the quenching agent and the excited state of the luminescent molecule, and the latter is due to the interaction between the quenching agent and the ground state of the luminescent molecule. In order to understand the fluorescence quenching mechanism of Cu-MOG towards the OS in this work, the absorption spectra of the OS before and after the interaction with Cu-MOG and the Cu-MOG were measured.…”

“…Upon excitation at 290 nm, the solution of 108 displayed decrease in emission intensity at 402 nm due to combination of electrostatic, hydrogen-bonding and π-π interactions by picrate anion (Figure 36). The job's plot of 108 revealed 1:1 stoichiometric complex with PA with logβ Dansyl conjugated probe 112 110 (chart 13) with PA in HEPES buffer (2% DMSO) showed amplified quenching at 540 nm in the presence of PA associated with fluorescence yellow colour change to dark (Figure 38A). The morphology of probe 112 (Figure 38B) changed after addition of 1 equivalent PA (Figure 38C) The paper strips coated with 112 detected PA 13.7 ag/cm 2 using contact mode method (Figure 38D).…”

“…Rapid explosive trace detection (ETD) is of great significance in the fields of public security and environmental monitoring, as well as in the process of explosive manufacture and storage. Up to now, ETD remains an active research area. Despite some analytical techniques being in operational use, such as ion mobility spectrometry (IMS), colorimetry, and Raman spectroscopy, these technologies have their limitations.…”
