“…The preparation process of the p-Mg included three steps: firstly preparation of the entangled porous titanium (p-Ti), then infiltration of magnesium melts into the p-Ti to form titanium-magnesium composite, and finally removal of the titanium wire by using the chemical etching to from the p-Mg. The detailed fabrication method was described in the previous paper [27,28]. In this study, the shape of pores in the p-Mg was copied from the shape of titanium wire in the as-prepared p-Ti.…”

“…There are many other mechanical parameters for foam that are determined by porosity and pore size (diameter). Young's modulus, peak stress, and the energy absorption capability increase with decreasing pore size and porosity, [2,63] while Vickers hardness decreases with increasing pore size. [34] Compression strengths also reduce with increasing pore size.…”

“…15,16 To improve the usability of PU in damping conditions, in recent years, researchers have tried to increase PU's content of soft segments by introducing polyester or polyether oligomers and by means of interpenetrating polymer networks. [17][18][19][20][21][22] However, increases in the soft segment result in poor mechanical strength, a weakened usability of PU under higher temperature conditions, and a more complex preparation process because of the introduction of interpenetrating polymer networks. [14][15][16][23][24][25] Lili et al 13 modified PU with polyhydric alcohols, and their results show that the damping capacity and volume shrinkage of the material were enhanced; this was accompanied by decreased thermodynamics and pencil hardness.…”
