Stunting remains a major nutritional problem in developing countries, including Indonesia. This research aims to identify the effectiveness of stunting prevention programs in Indonesia. The research method employed in this study is a systematic review based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Article searches were conducted using five database; Scopus, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, Google Scholar, and Portal Garuda. The inclusion criteria for this research are articles published in the last 10 years, from 2014 to 2023, with a population in the Indonesian region. Based on the reviewed articles, it was found that the most effective stunting prevention measures include providing nutritional education to influential parties such as community health workers, mothers of toddler, and women of childbearing age or prospective mothers, interprofessional collaboration, and supplementary feeding. Trained community health workers are capable of reducing the stunting rates. Therefore the goverment should stengthen community health worker training to optimize stunting prevention through nutritional education.

Background: In 2022, prevalence of stunting in Indonesia reach 21.6%. The direct causes of stunting was nutritional intake. The problem of nutritional intake was related to the cultural practices of Indonesian, so this research used a transcultural nursing. Objectives: This study aimed to identify factors influencing feeding patterns in stunting children based on transcultural nursing. Methods: Cluster sampling was used for this cross-sectional with 145 mother-child pairs. The independent variables were maternal education, economics, regulations and policies, cultural values and lifestyle, social and family support, religiosity and philosophy and technology. The dependent variable was feeding pattern. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Spearman Rho (p-value=0.05) was used to analyze the relationship between variables. Results: Economic factors (p=0.031; r=0.250), government policies and norms (p=0.034; r=0.180), cultural and lifestyle values (p=0.001; r=0.540), social support and family (p=0.000; r=0.270), religious and philosophical beliefs (p=0.000; r=0.321), and technological developments (p=0.002; r=0.210) were associated with feeding pattern, no correlation between feeding pattern and mother’s education (p=0.689). Conclusions: Economy, regulation and policy, cultural value and lifestyle, religiosity and philosophy, social support and family, and technology associated stunting child's feeding pattern. Cultural beliefs and lifestyle were the most important factors for stunting children's feeding patterns so it is envisaged that paramedics continue to expand their preventive and persuasive efforts by providing health consultations to moms and families.

The prevalence of nutritional problems in Banten is very high, namely 27,8% stunting and less than 15% nutrition, one of the causes is improper feeding practices for babies and children. The practice of ICF and the activeness of maternal and child health services of cadres in providing assistance to mothers who have children is expected to be able to reduce nutritional problems. This study aims to identify the role of cadres in assisting mothers to practice Infant and Child Feeding (ICF). the research was conducted a cross-sectional study. The sample is cadres of maternal and child health services, who have received training on ICF as many as 30 cadres with a purposive sampling technique. Collecting data using a questionnaire related to the characteristics of cadres including age, education, occupation, length of time as a cadre, and level of knowledge of cadres. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. As a result, there were 43,3% of cadres who were active in assisting mothers in feeding practices. There is no relationship between characteristics and the role of cadres in providing assistance to mothers of toddlers in providing food (p> 0,05). In conclusion, the characteristics of cadres have no relationship with their role in providing assistance to infant feeding. Cadres can play a more active role in mentoring mothers related to providing food to children.
