Cytomegalovirus Infection in Melbourne Children

Abstract: SYNOPSIS Strains of cytomegalovirus, (CMV) have been isolated from 53 children and 2 adults in Melbourne during the 4 years to June 1966. Of these, 47 were children with various disease syndromes which we consider were in most cases caused by the virus; 6 children and 2 adults were apparently ‘well’family contacts of these children.
