Cyclodextrin Micellar LC for Direct Selective Analysis of Combined Dosage Drugs in Urine

Abstract: Two cyclodextrin micellar liquid chromatographic methods were developed and applied to the simultaneous determination of bisoprolol/hydrochlorothiazide and atenolol/chlorthalidone combinations in urine matrices without sample pretreatment. These combined β-blockers and diuretics chemotherapies are commonly used in the treatment of hypertension and cardiovascular diseases. Hybrid isocratic mobile phases containing hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin, sodium dodecyl sulfate, phosphate buffer and methanol on a Luna C18 … Show more

“…The isoflavone glycosides and aglycones present in Radix astragali samples have been separated using a metanol water mobile phase containing (2-hydroxypropyl)-β-CD as mobile phase modifier . Hybrid mobile phases methanol:phosphate buffer containing both micelles and CDs (SDS and (2-hydroxypropyl)-β-CD) have been proposed for the determination of drugs in urine samples . Representative examples of separations employing CDs as mobile phase modifiers are summarized in Table .…”
