Cyclodextrin Derivative Enhances the Ophthalmic Delivery of Poorly Soluble Azithromycin

Abstract: Azithromycin (AZM), a macrolide antibiotic used for the treatment of Chlamydial conjunctivitis, is less effective for the treatment of this disease due to its poor bioavailability (38%).
