“…By tracking the optical absorption corresponding to the first excitonic transition between the van Hove singularity ( S 11 ), the air sensitivity of n-doped semiconducting CNTs is selectively observed over time, even in films containing both semiconducting and metallic CNTs. Using a kinetic technique, the comparison study on the air stabilities of semiconducting CNTs for different n-type doping systems has also been conducted: CNTs doped with supramolecular salt-based dopants (i.e., crown ether complexes) , and that doped with superelectron donor (SED) reagents (i.e., 4-(2,3-dihydro-1,3-dimethyl-1 H -benzimidazol-2-yl)- N , N -dimethylbenzenamine ( N -DMBI)) .
